During 2010, two floors of specialist joinery were installed at the West End offices of an asset management firm based in Boston, USA. The two floors were occupied and the refurbishment programme had to be phased to allow the company to continue trading. There were both US and London based architects/designers working on the project and many of the required materials had to be sourced from the US as the finishes had to complement the North American branches.
It was the first time that Dealerward had worked with Kinon, a cast resin sheet material that offers a broad range of high gloss colour and patterned finishes. The project also required onyx selected from Italy, glass from Canada, bronze metalwork from the UK and leathers from the US, all to be co-ordinated at our German factory where the American walnut veneers were stained, pressed and polished to match the US offices.
