  • 28/01/13 Dealerward on the move

The Dealerward identity makes its way onto the roads thanks to application of some bold new vinyl designs. Following the theme of the image refresh of last year, the vans are now instantly recognisable as they drive all over the country.

  • 20/01/13 Light Features

The world of specialist joinery is changing for Dealerward.   Some of our latest commissions have included large lighting features,  archways of back painted glass 10 metre tall and backlit to give an even luminescence, colour changing panels for reception desks and floor indicators displays are successful recently completed Items that have helped us win more challenging work.   Currently we are completing a major reception feature for the new West end HQ for CBRE incorporating a shaped 8 metre long multilayered raft to welcome visitors.  Each layer is detailed by a continuous concealed light band.

Shown here is 1 of 2 hanging light features positioned above the building entrance escalators.  Each one consists of 100s of suspended acrylic rods each fed through fibre optic supply leads.

  • 18/12/12 High Standards

200 Aldersgate was a project completed in November 2010.  It was the most challenging contract that Dealerward has undertaken.   Designed by architects Morey Smith with Mitie plc as main contractors the project included many of the usual features required within a modern fit-out .  But, we also had to work at heights within the two massive reception areas of this large City office block,  being completed at heights up to 10 metres.

We made 2 lights shades, each 3.5 metres tall and 2 metres in diameter that had to be anchored to the ceiling requiring full high-wire fitters to complete the tasks.   These shades fit above the target light features commissioned for the front entrances of this amazing building and finish off its visual impact with style and wit.

  • 10/10/12 Last Friday night…

To give Sue, Tom and poor Emi (who was tucked up in bed with a cold!) a well overdue sending off, Dealerward took to the bowling lanes in Bloomsbury for a lively evening out last Friday. Three lanes were hired and as the games came to a close, the directors – Andrew, Julia and Grant – came top of all three tables, leading the rest of the team to conclude that “working late at the office” for the senior management team must translate to them donning bowling shoes and practicing among themselves to achieve such impressive scores. All the excitement was followed by a nice civilised meal at Ciao Bella,a quaint litle restaurant serving Italian cuisine in Lambs Conduit Street.

  • 05/10/12 A day trip to Germany

Earlier this week, we took lead designer Sotoko Katayose from Pringle Brandon – the architects we are working in collaboration with on fitting out Coca Cola’s new offices – to visit our factory in Germany to kick-start the project. This was followed by a trip to their sole trading merchant to view and handpick American whie oak FSC-certified veneers for the space (pictured here is the selection process in action!).
